Various Gate Types

Through its Gate Wizard function, Moldex3D Designer provides various gate types, such as pin gate, sprue gate, edge gate, fan gate, etc. Use the gate-aware Runner Wizard to build single or multiple gates quickly and consecutively. You can also apply Gate Location Advisor to set up one or more appropriate gate locations according to the geometry of your manufactured plastic parts.

The Runner Wizard supports different runner types, including runner cross-sections, to describe real runner geometry with true 3D solid mesh. It even allows using curve objects as runners and constructing a complete runner system with mixed STL topology and runner lines.

Moldex3D Designer’s Cooling Wizard lets you create a complete cooling system for simulations. Its cooling channel templates offer added support when setting up essential cooling channels. They also help you save time when reconstructing previously designed cooling systems. You can even save edited cooling channels as your proprietary templates or the default template you will directly use for your next design.
